Veterans Services

The Department of Veterans Services offers educational assistance to eligible veterans, dependents and spouses enrolled in an eligible program of study at WCC. There are several benefit types in which students may be eligible to apply for.

Chapter 30 – Montgomery GI Bill Educational Assistance Program (MGIB)

Chapter 32 or Section 903 – Post Vietnam Era Veterans’ Educational Assistance Program (VEAP)

Chapter 33 – Post 9/11 GI-Bill

Chapter 35 – Dependents’ Application for Veterans Education (Under Provisions of chapters 33 and 35 of title 38, U.S.C.)

Chapter 1606 – Montgomery GI Bill – Selected Reserve Educational Assistance Program (MGIB-SR)

VS Student Enrollment Certification

After enrolling in classes each term, students are responsible for providing the VS/SCO with class schedules.
Students are also responsible for notifying the VS/SCO of any enrollment changes (e.g.: adding or dropping classes, program withdrawals, etc.) they make after the enrollment has been sent to the VS.

The North Carolina Tuition Assistance Program (NCTAP)

This program is for Army and Air National Guard members ONLY. This is a reimbursement program and is not designed to meet payment deadlines set by schools.  For more information and to register, please use the NC National Guard Student Portal.
